I had the same problem. I kept on taking pain relievers but came to a point where they didn't work anymore. I had no choice but to go see a doctor (really should have done it sooner!) Turned out to be my blood pressure which was really high. As soon as I took my medication, the headache was gone!

Headaches are signs that something is not functioning properly in your body. It could be sinusitis, simple allergy, etc. The best thing to do is to see a doctor. Monitor your condition, i.e., when the headaches come, when it is at its worst, etc. and this will help your doctor in his diagnosis. You will be so relieved once you get to know the culprit and be so thankful once the treatment begins and the headaches disappear!

Anything and everything can cause a headache. Could be stress related, poor eating habits, not enough sleep or too much sleep, depression, or other health related problems. Allergies can cause headaches, pollution, pollen, outdoor smells or odors, eye strain, watching too much television or long hours on the computer, the list is endless for possibilities. My best advice is to journal your headaches and make note as to when they start up and then go see your doctor about them.

Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful!

You didn't say where the headache originated. Front of head, top, back? Could be sinus, stress. I have migraines. Sometimes they last up to two weeks! I also have arthritis which causes me to have a headache 24 hours a day. You said it was not chronic. I wouldn't worry unless you keep getting them. If so you need to see a doctor.

I had the same prob. but mine was in my temples. I went to the Dr. and he said I have a severe case of TMJ from grinding my teeth so bad in my sleep and stress. I'm suppose to wear a mouth guard and not eat anything chewy, crunchy, etc. Just eating gummy worms gives me a serious migraine.
