My younger sister's friend is a waitress and will be working until 11 oclock Halloween night. She has a son the same age as one of my daughters and is a single mother. I invited her son to trick or treat with my family since his mother would be working so late and she said she plans on taking him with her when she gets off work at eleven. Do people actually take kids out that late??

Heck NO! We turn off our lights by 9pm. We get about 120 Trick or Treaters a year. We find that after 8pm it is just older kids out messin' around or coming back for seconds. So to answer your question, they probably wont have much luck trick or treating at 11pm.

That is way too late for a kid to be out on a school night. The latest my kids are out is 9pm. Ask her again if you can take her son.

Not usually unless it is a weekend. Suggest again that you wouldn't mind taking him with you so he can be with other children.
