Wow! I have to say that I was shocked that anyone would compare raising a dog to raising a child! There is no way that you can compare the two!!! Pick a different set of models for your paper

Both require alot of attention. A dog is always happy to see you come home, wagging his tail and licking your hand. A child isn't necessarily always happy to see that you're home, especially as they get older. A dog only asks for food, water and affection as well as the occasional trip outside. As a child grows his physical demands may become less but his monetary demands tend to escalate. The older they get the more expensive toys they want. With a child you can hold a conversation with but with a dog the conversation is only one sided. The list could go on and on if you wanted to just take the time to think about the contrasts. Good luck on your pape.

Obedience training is similar, but you have to do more for a child than make him obedient. Both a dog and a child need love, but the stakes are higher--a neglected dog isn't nearly the problem for society that a neglected child may become. You have to shape the child's morals and ethics, give him something to dream of becoming (goals), and shape him into being a complete adult someday. With a dog, you just have to get it to quit jumping on people and crapping on the floor.
With very young children, the method is often similar to dog training--reward and punishment, tone of voice, dominance and respect. Once they get old enough to have a mind of their own, all of that becomes secondary for children--you have to guide them to make good decisions for themselves.

The only difference is you can legally leave your dog in the house and go out. You cannot do that with your child. My dog is actually more needy than my child. My child listens way better than my dog.LOL Also I love my sweet little Misty (dog) but my child always come first.

Um,, a child needs constant care and attention, from holding to feeding, to changing diapers. A dog just needs to be let out to pee and fed once a day-I really don't see alot of similairities in the two.

you're ranging from a very incorrect premise. militia infantrymen ARE typical voters. they're merely like each and every physique else, yet for some reason be certain to connect the militia. it extremely is a sluggish interest, academic reward, desire to serve their u . s . or any certainly one of those or different motives. despite the fact that, militia infantrymen' ideals selection from the a strategies left to the a strategies perfect, from especially religious to atheist, etc.

you are more afraid of you child than your dog, you cant teach your child only by praising and punishment, you need to be a good example for him/her and you need to take into consideration also friends, school, tv..., its more expensive to bring up a child :-), you may sell your dog if you dont want him anymore (well, i would not do that, but legally it is ok), both of them make you smile often

i have actually pondered this my self. i have kids and a dog. i think it is easier caring for a dog because you can leave them unattended and it would not be as big a deal as leaving a child unattended. of course you would come home to a messed up home but you could fix that.

You can tie a dog up and not have some pesky do-gooder from CPS come to "investigate" you.
Same goes for beatings, even when they have it coming.
