Im trying to decide which "skullcandy" brand headphones to get off ebay; my first intention was just get the regular dj style headphones they offer for about 40$. However i keep seeing some that are similar but different cause they contain some vibrating subwoofer built in the headphones and an in-line bass amplifier for about 55$. I just wanted to know has anybody tried something like that or can just tell me what that means as far as listening to music; should i spend more to get the latter ones or do you think the regular are about as good cause im mainly gonna use them for my ipod. (p.s.-i do like want my music to sound good/rich and clarity is important to me but im not super nitpicky about a little louder bass)

It's all about preference and comfort. If bass is important to you then consider the vibrating head phones. I have tried them and they are novel but after a few minutes of listening to them it got a little annoying. You can go with larger diameter head phones that still clip to your ears (Koss $30 - $35) or higher quality in ear (ear buds) if comfort and sound quality are higher priorities.
