Neither is an acronym. An acronym is a word made of the initial letters of other words - radar, laser and scuba are acronyms. YHWH is a tetragram and PBUH is an abbreviation. YHWH is the name of the Hebrew god and PBUH (praise be unto him) is an honorific given to holy people in Islam although it always reminds me of Poobah in The Mikado.
