External magnetic fields can cause interference when recording on magnetic tape, such as video tape.
Incorrect tracking or alignment of recording heads also cause problems.
There could also be a build up of dirt or tape deposit on your recording heads. You may also need to de-magnetise your sound recording heads.

It is also worth noting that you should always store video tape away from speakers or television equipment, as this can damage the magnetic properties of both recorded and blank tape.

I would suggest you seek professional advise, but check out the simple things first.

If your recorder is new, then get in touch with where you bought it,
or the manufacturer in the first instance, as any repairs or maintenance you carry out could invalidate a warranty.

Depending how often you use your video it does help to keep things dirt free, you could move the satellite dish but I think it`s more likely it needs cleaning.

Dirty or worn heads is the most common cause of this.
