two things:
First, you must know if it is uniformly distributed throughout your scalp. If so buy any baby oil and massage into scalp at night, wash hair in the morning. Keep 15 minutes extra time as it takes longer then usual to get the oil out. You will find that your hair is softer and more manageable. Try doing this at least once a week.

Secondly, if your dandruff is more or less at different spots and comes up every now & again. Then it is more of a medical thing. Try using an anti-fungal shampoo and also see your GP, it might even be stress related (eczema)

I've always had success with Neutrogena's T-Gel shampoo. It works fantastic however has a strong smell due to the active ingredient of coal tar. I usually follow it with my regular shampoo and conditioner to help with the smell. And I only use it every other day. But each time I've had dandruff, no matter how bad, if I use this shampoo, it's cleared up in less than a week!

Dandruff is mainly excess exfoliation of the scalp . Dandruff
shampoos tend to make the problem worse before it gets
better ,this is normal . What is happening is more exfoliation
is occurring and you are noticing it as it is happening . After
a few times of washing your hair with such problems your
scalp should be free of dandruff .

start with Head and Shoulders shampoo (or the generic version which is the same but cheaper)
if that does not work - buy a stronger dandruff shampoo like Denorex or a shampoo with "coal tar"
use regularly and try to minimize the use of hair products until resolved

first, massage your hair with an oil-- only enough to get rid off the tangles, then use a close to lukewarm water to wet your hair, and then shampoo it with head and shoulders (mint), then rinse, then condition it, then shampoo it again using the same shampoo, comb it using a big teeth comb (hairdoctors would do), and then rinse, and your done with the first session.

then do it up to 3rd day, and the 4th day, then on the 5th and so just shampoo it once using another shampoo that fits your hair (milder), then once or twice in a week use the dandruff shampoo.

try it. it works.

hope i helped.

just be patient and willing.

=)

use a more natural approach. Wash your hair with any shampoo. Then, with a lemon, pass is all over your head were the problem usually occurs ( usually in the front of the head and in the back) then wash it off with luke warm water and massage in baby oil. then wash your hair again and condition as usual.

Try Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner. If that doesn't work, it may not be dandruff, it might be psoriasis.
