I have a 2006 Scion tC right now, and I love it, however I live where it snows all the time, and I have already had problems in the snow with my car. I have snow tires and everything, and I still can barely make it to work. I was thinking about getting a 4 wheel drive Tacoma. I want the Quad Cab automatic, and it is right in my price range. So what do you think? Is the Tacoma worth selling my Scion to get? And is it a mechanically good truck?

Shawn L, You do realize that the majority of toyota is made in America, right? My dad works in the toyota engine plant in West Virginia.

Get the Toyota.

An old Toyota truck has fewer problems than a new Chevy. Toyota in general does better in quality and satisfaction surveys than the Americans, and even other Japanese brands. You may feel that the price is high, but you'll be avoiding future headaches and inconvenience.

Among nameplates, for me, it's Honda, Toyota, or Hyundai. In general, Honda has more standard features in their models. The prices of Toyotas and Nissans rise when you add features that Honda makes standard. Hyundai isn't making trucks yet, but in cars, they're making a name in the surveys.

I bought a new Ford Ranger - 04 for 17,000 They are still selling them used for 14,000 That's pretty good resale. Ford and Chevy have great resale. Do some research. New Tacoma w/ 25,000 miles?? What does that mean?

Tacomas are good trucks, but toyotas are overpriced.

I suggest you test drive a Nissan Frontier before you buy. You'll get a LOT more truck for your money!
