I believe "The Dunce's" reply, and might additionally love to comprise the truth that the Jews had been VERY adamant while it got here to the interpretation of the customary languages that had been spoken in the course of the time of the Old and New Testament; Greek, Latin, Aramaic, and Hebrew. When James I had the KJV Bible commissioned, it took a panel of fifty linguists a whole of SEVEN years from 1604 to the publishing date in 1611 to translate and satisfactorily proofread the translations from each and every language into the lingua franca English of his day. Therefore, I doubt severely that there are as many "mistakes" as you declare. If so, there might were a complete lot extra translations of the Bible created after 1611. The KJV is essentially the most enduring translation. Don't suppose me? Look at the entire specific translations in the market at present. Most of them were written within the final a hundred and fifty years, which leads me to marvel how with the entire potential we have got to comprehend the Word, wherein we acquired the intense notion to hold "translating" whatever that has stood the scan of time for virtually four hundred years? Some say the language used to be too tough to comprehend within the KJV. IT'S ENGLISH! How tough can it's? Others say they are fearful of the more moderen translations given that they are going to have had designated Scriptures "altered" or "edited" for "higher interpretation". I'm now not a excellent guy, however I ought to say that that reasoning INSULTS MY INTELLIGENCE. If the PROPHETIC experience (of translation) makes LITERAL experience, SEEK NO OTHER SENSE! We don't seem to be allowed so as to add to or do away with from the Word of God, accordingly, I'm inclined to take a non secular danger and STUDY the Word to discover out it is message and that means!

Look, I am extremely tolerant person and I do accept lots of different views, but do you think your question is appropriate in a Forum, as Yahoo Answers? Look around and you will observe such an antagonism and even traces of hatred , especially between Christian and Muslims. Many of the participants above are right in their stance, BUT I really want to stress your attention to the fact that generalizing and discussing the too "hot" theme on Islam and Christianity is dangerous issue. Just browse through some answers and you will see why I allow myself to advise you NOT to raise so ,both deep and biased question. The Bible was written for 1600 years. There are still people, who speak Aramaic. Then, please, let us be correct we you cannot brand so easily the Bible as full of "so many many many many many errors", that speak for yourself and your bad stereotype. I have very close to me Muslim friends and I love them and they have special place in my heart. One of them found too many contradictions in the Holy Quran and the 7adeeth for example, despite all is a good Muslim and stick to the fifth pillars of Islam, so ..your conclusion? By the way, you really made enough errors in your resume. Open the Quran, read well the exact citations in the suras and you will find that Islam is approving the Christianity. There is always "BUT"..Have a good day!

Around the central and eastern Mediterranean Sea in the early days of Christianity, the common language for international communication by merchants and travellers was KOINE (koy-nay) or common Greek. Paul's native language was Aramaic, of course, but he had to write his letters in Koine so that the people he was writing to would understand them. Modern scholars think he occasionally made mistakes in his Koine, saying one thing when surely he meant another. Other Christians translated the Gospels from Aramaic to Koine, too, so that they could be more widely read. The Latin version came later.

You appear to be hostile to the Bible on these grounds, but Christians would have the same justification for being hostile to your fallible English translations of Arabic holy writings, because they could be propagating just the same type of errors and misunderstandings. That ought to make you think, but I'm afraid it won't.

QU'RAN Errors can be found at http://answering-islam.org/Quran/Contra/

There are no errors in the bible at all. You say that because you probably visited one of the many sites that like to try and find things wrong with the bible. You people don't unstand that it is the holy spirit us christian are given that explains it to us. You do not believe therefore you do not have it. Besides you who do this are only trying to find something you can't understand then you want to call it an error. But yet refuse to study it farther.

I remember one muslim convert that said everytime someone brings this up they can find the answers to the question five verses up or verses down 90% of the time. But with the ones you can't you need to bible study I have been a christian all my life I have heard many things about this so called error's. But yet I haven't found one. With research you can find the answer.

Ok, let me tell you what I have learn about Bible...

The ancient testament, was written in Aramaic, and yes Jesus also spoke Aramaic, same as his disciples...

But I don't know if you know that at first the Pentateuch, wasn't written, but it was communicate in an oral way, so, maybe, most of information of the Torah, Bible, and Quran may be wrong...

Anyway, we're talking about Jesus, it's true that he spoke Aramic, but also it's true, that during his life, Israel was under the Govern of the Roman Empire, and as all of us know... they spoke Latin! So his life and teachings were easy to transcript and translate (of course Vatican, also made it in their own profit). But it's more sure the translation of New Testament than the ancient one...

Jesus did not write the Bible, his followers did. And none of it was written in Latin originally.

Actually, much of the new testament WAS in Aramaic. Only the books written by Paul were in Greek, as that was his native language.
