if you want to burn some calories real fast....the treadmill is the best....i mean, nothing can be compared to running....running is the fastest way to burn fat....i m telling you by experience....remember to do some streaching after the running!!!!

but if you are an elderly person or if you have some prob in the knee or other joints cycling is recomended for you....the effectiveness of cycling is much more lower than running....by running you get a overall exercise to your entire body....

ALL THE BEST WITH YOUR WORK OUT!!!!

Our first piece of exercise equipment was the treadmill. It's very useful for walking, power walking, jogging. Very versatile. Different levels of intensity & heart rate, etc.

Then we got a recumbent stationary bike. This one works the heart rate, the legs and lower body without any pressure on the back or spine at all.

I really use the treadmill more, but also use the bike for a quick workout and for warmups.

Have you thought about buying a road bike along with a trainer? You would have the added benefit of being able to use the bike for outdoor riding if you wanted to, so you could stay in shape year-round!

Tredmill is the best. The stationary bike is good too, but the tredmills better. Maybe jumping rope, or something, thats good cardio. Dance, Things like that. Its fun and good for you. Dont forget to do stretches!!!!

all depends on what you prefer really...and what you'll want to use more often
I personally love the bike(real one...not a stationary) but when it comes to stattionary equipment I prefer the treadmill

I prefer to use both .... variety keeps it more intresting and helps you to keep coming back for more. Seeing how you are just starting out I would recommend the bike because it is low/no impact and can still help you develop the cardiovascular stamina you will need for running.

a real bike. Mountain motorcycles are cool. using round city, or perhaps to the save in basic terms to get out of the abode is interesting. workout contained in the abode is boring, you do not get to boost your ideas an same as even as workout outdoors of the abode.
