When I drove to work last night at 11:00 p.m. here in Los Angeles, I listened to the BBC World Service news on the radio. They opened the top of the hour by saying: "It's 7 a.m. in London. BBC World Service. The News." -- So I guess there is an 8 hour difference. (7 hours during Pacific region Daylight Saving Time.)

8 hours behind. When it's noon in LA, it's 8pm in the UK.
