As far as anyone knows, you'll be dead.
There are lots of stories to the contrary, but those are just things that people made up. No-one has any good reason for you to believe that there's life after death: all the stories to the contrary are just wishful thinking.

Anybody who attempts to answer this question is speaking on something they they have never experienced before. Nobody has died completely to come back and relate the experience. Due to the hype that one builds around this question it has become popular. Living people have asked this question from the beginning of time. We have seen many come and go. I mean billions of people. where does a ant go when he dies ? Where does a dog go when he dies. I wish somebody would hold a body in there presence for at least up to a 100 years after the person dies and monitor daily what takes place ? Because at least that will show some results. If everybody was burned up when they died what then ? It is really not cool to leave a body laying around after it dies I don't think, though I think we humans of the planet earth need to make the decision to do this experiment. It is like a insect when you kill it do you like to just leave it on the table, or do you like to put it away somewhere where you no longer will ever see it. We can go right now to a grave sight and dig up all the dead bodies in the world. You want to know where you go when you die, follow someone after they die or stand by them or keep them around you and see where they go? I bet they won't go far lol. we could probably go to graves that our 200 years old and older dig them up and you will see the rotted away bodies. Oddly things on the earth desentegrate and turn to dust. I know you have seen a dead squirl on the side of the road, it will be there for months and then it just starts to desensentegrate until on day you come upon that spot and the squirl is so much of nothing that it jsut blows away.
Imagine how real life would be if people looked at it like they are already looking at . This is it, this is all, so you better try to make the best of it. You were blessed to be a part of this, why I don't know maybe because of the great person that you feel you our in relation to the other things that exist. but after this ????
dying is parrelled with rest, may you rest in peace. You know when you sleep and you really not trippin on if somebody is waving there dick in your face or if somebody is talking about you behind your back, when your sleep you jsut don't give a **** about nothing. And to top it off when you wake up you really don't feel like dooing nothing , but some outside force makes you get up and say **** it okay lets go. But without that outside force what would you do. Probably go back to sleep. rest in peace, because you sure "in hell" cannot leave in total 100% peace, so have you ever considered death as a gift.

I don't think anyone can answer that question. It's beyond our realm of knowing, even for religion. Religion can make a speculation, and that speculation is backed up by the faith of the followers, but in the end, nobody really knows for sure.
Why focus on death? Live your life as a thoughtful, caring, selfless person, and regardless what happens when you die, you will pass into the afterlife (if there be one) as a happy, fulfilled person.

People who have an enlightenment experience find out this mystery DIRECTLY in this life. The reality is true no matter what people believe; therefore, beliefs won't get you there. You need to have a direct experience. Again, you can believe you live forever as a soul or you can believe you don't exist but both are beliefs -- need to investigate this directly. 99.9999999% of us, including me, don't want to directly investigate; we are happier adopting a belief system and living our lives according to it. It's not wrong, it's just what it is.

What is called "death" is a change in focus; what you call your life is a focus...a very strong focus in which you think you are a separate being, encased in a body. You will see things based upon your beliefs...see images you expect to see...until the truth is shown (lovingly) to you. You will realize that all is love, and that you are a creator with your Creator, in perfect peace.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior and Lord, you will enter heaven.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
The body is returned to ground from where came from and the eternal soul is taken to heaven. The body and the soul will reunited when Christ returns to the earth to setup his kingdom.
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:44
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:21

It depends. Have you accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Only He can give life after these tents are rolled up (our mortal bodies) It is through Him and only Him that we live. When I die, I will go to be with Christ because to live is Christ, but to die is gain.
It is your choice on where you go. Examine the case for Christ, Examine the case for a Creator, because we cannot fully grasp the meaning of Christ if we scoff at the idea of a Creator. Make your choice,

Your soul will go up to its Creator and your body will lie inthe grave. It will decay as all bodies but you will know whether you are going to heaven or to hell when you are in the grave, though dead. When it is time, your soul will return to your body and you will come back to life for Judgement Day.
This is according to my faith, Islam.
May Allah have mercy on you and us all
Peace

From what I have learned, when we die, and we face God and have to explain our lives and why we did things. IF God thinks we need to learn more we sent back as another baby to do life again until we learn what it is God's purpose is for us. Otherwise, we live in a beautiful place filled with love and no pain, no wars, no racisim, everybody is equal. Most continue to do what they did on earth. This life we are living is a learning experience, so we will be ready to meet God and please him.
