Didnt have anyting like the amount I regularly drink but I was absolutely hammered. I cant remember the most of the night and have no idea how I got home. Normally drink Carlsberg but the bar had none so I drank Stella instead. Could this be the cause of it? It's making me scared to go out drinking again incase I get into the same state.

My mates say I was fine one minute and the next I could hardly stand. Male friend suggested I sober up or go home and I completely turned on him in a very aggressive manner which is totally not like me. I now feel very ashamed and will NEVER touch stella / wifebeater again. Never knew it was any stronger than Carlsberg.

oh dear Stella Artois (or Stella act a t.w.a.t - as we call it). indeed this is why you have very little memory of the evening and how you got home. stella's really strong and i've noticed when any of my mates drink it they get obnoxious and think they're suddenly invincible. it does the same to me. it's loopy juice and it's caused a lot of trouble on many nights out - but people don't know their limits sometimes, if you can normally handle 6 or 7 pints of Carlsberg then it's probably equivalent to 5 Stellas!

Just lay off the Stella it's minging anyway!! lol

=D

Stella Artois is 5.2% whereas Carlsberg is a lesser 3.9%. Next time they have run out of Carlsberg (always a sorry state of affairs), ask the bar staff what beers they have with a similar alcohol percentage (or units if you prefer= 2.2 for Carlsberg) and then stick to that.

Lay off the Stella in future - it's loopy juice and waaaay stronger than Carlsberg. And they don't call it Wifebeater for nothing...many people I know have been f*cked up over Stella.

Yep definitely sounds like Stella. I went out on Saturday night and only had 4 pints an' I was a complete mess! I had to hold on to a tree to keep me up straight

WE all go out with 'mates'.........and quite often have a few too many. My question to you is ...was your drink spiked? Its a very common occurance.more than you may realise. It might not have been one of your friends, rather someone they know. Time has passed for a sample (urine &blood) to be taken. Never leave a drink alone, take or finish or re order when you come back.
Sorry for your blackout, but take it as a learning point. Be wary and wish you well

Stella. Some people call that wife beater. It is pretty potent stuff if you are used to Carlsberg.

Stella is a lot stronger than Carlsberg- so it is not surprising

I don't know what they put in Stella, but some wierd chemical in it sends the drinker a bit bonkers in the nut. Not only does it get you horribly drunk quickly, it seems to affect your mind so you turn into a violent sociopath. and if that was not all, it gives you the mother of all hangovers...

Nasty stuff - avoid at all costs.

Stella is a premium lager, it is a lot higher in ABV %, if you have never drunk it before then it is potential cuckoo juice, it can send some people wappy, next time get something with the same ABV % and you should be fine,
