I have a floppy disk that I have been using for the past few months and all of a sudden whenever I try to pull up the work on it, it keep saying that the disk isn't formatted. Does anyone know a reason why this is happening? and plus do you know a way that I regain access to the data that was on it?

Two possible reasons for this problem :
- the floppy disk is damaged
or
- the floppy drive is damaged

Please try the floppy disk in a different PC to determine if your drive is damaged or dirty.

your files are corrupt on it you can take it to a professional who can run a recovery on it but chances are the data he retreives wont be usable
i hope you kept a backup in you docs folder or on a server
