I would like to have one on me when I take my daughters trick or treating to be sure we don't stop at any of those houses.

This should do the trick:

In your travels, if you see anyone on the list at a given address handing out stuff, call the police immediately!

This is the best one for what you are looking to do, because it actually maps them in your community:

http://www.mapsexoffenders.com

Another site is: http://www.nsopr.gov/

Your local police department or school also has access to this information.

If you re-post your state I will give you your state's website. Also these websites will only give you the names and addresses of sex offenders who are level 3's (and in some states level 2's). In order to obtain information on level 1's you will need to call your state's 1-800 number.

Usually sex offenders as a term of their parole are not permitted to have contact with children. So, if while you are out with your daughter you see the home of a sex offender accepting trick or treaters, contact your local police immediately. He is probably violating his parole.

Best of luck!

Check the web for a site by your local police department of law enforcement group in your area. Usually state police (maybe sheriff department's too) have a website and they'll list sex offender's by town.
In most cases, offender's are told by their parole officers they are not to put out halloween decorations or answer their door. That isn't the case in all area but the rule of thumb for some.
Check out your state website and go to the "public safety/state police" or whatever link. You may find a registery there.

Your state should have list of all known sexual offenders in your state, real easy to access.
Blue States may not.
Some Blue States believe that would be discrimination against sex offenders.
Some Blue States believe in "Sexual Offender Rights".
Contact your state.
All parents should be as concerned as you.
You are a good parent. Thank you.

I think the website is www.familywatchdog.us. I get an email update of every sex offender in my county at least once a month. It gives me there address, offense, and their picture. It's great to have.

Most police departments have a sex offenders web site. Could be city police, county police or state police. Good luck

Click on this link.
http://www.nsopr.gov/
Agree to the conditions at the bottom of the page. This will take you to another page where you put in a generic code. From this page it will take you to a search page where you can locate offenders by state, zip code, etc.

Just type into your browser: "Sex Offenders List for so and so city for so and so state." Something you want will pop up.
