They meant the religious needs.
Like a Chaplin.
There will always be abuses. But was it better for the frail folks to be automatically taken to services, or to let them sit in their room and vegetate? A tuff call to be sure.

it is not traditional religion.
i would say it is a sense of divinity that does not necessarily depend on things like an external god.
sort of how a lot of people feel when they are in the woods, or when their baby is born. It is beyond physical or emotional.
the dictionary won't be able to help you with things like this.
because it's not a dictionary sort of concept.
i believe as a nurse you have to care for your patients needs and patients in such dire circumstances often have spiritual needs.
i don't think wheeling them to an involuntary service is the answer.
meeting them where they are with their needs is the answer.

It is any event that creates a warped interpretaion in ones mind.
Could be brainwashing by religious zealots, or equally being spaced out on stupid drugs. The benefit of drugs (not that I've been silly enough to try) is that its a short term delusion, whereas religion becomes totally destructive.

Spirituality is power of the spirit believing that all religions lead to the same path. Respecting your patients belief and culture and helping them to express them.

Organised religion invariably comes down to control of the masses! I believe our spirit is eternal and that each life is a lesson in coping with negative influences. I would not go anywhere near a church/chapel/mosque because they want your spirit to be dictated to by their tenets. Best religion of all is.....treat people as you would want to be treated! Find your spirituality in your own way. Walk with God in your own way!

Spirituality is: "the attachment to religious values or a concept of the divine."
you shouldnt have been told that you had to believe in the specific religions. no employer has the right to tell you to do that and it is indeed ilegal for them to do it. but you should have been aware of the parets wishes regarding drugs, organ donation, DNR etc. in relation to their religious beliefs.

To me it means being ever mindful that life is not just about me. There is a level of meditation that allows me to communicate with the Creator and receive guidance.

Merriam Webster says "concerned with religious values;of or relating to sacred matters". I'd say it's just about talking with people about their concerns about life/death, etc., and making them comfortable. It's not about a specific religion, but about comfort.

spirituality is one of those words people with wandering imaginations like to kick around. It basically means whatever you want it to, or so i'm finding. but basically i'd say it is anythign relating to one's religious/metaphysical beliefs.
