a coworker of mine and I were out drinking the other night and she told me that she loves me and gave me a really big hug. She has always been really nice to me but as far as I knew she just wanted to be friends, although there have been a few moments that have made me think that she really may be into me. Well she just started dating a coworker of ours which is why I thought it was very strange that she would tell me she loved me and hug me the way she did just because I said a few complimentary things to her. Later that night when her boyfriend picked her up, she hugged me again and told me she would call me tomorrow. I may be making a big deal about the hug thing but I have never seen her hug another person before so I don't think she is the type that is addicting to hugging people like some of the crazies out there. I don't know maybe i'm crazy but is she possibly interested in me as more than just a friend?

Women can be strange at times, but yes it does sound like she is interested in you....perhaps you should sit her down and have a discussion about this to find out exactly how she does feel. Once you have a better understanding of what is going on in her mind you will be better able to figure out how you feel about her and that fact that she says she is in love with you. It could just be that she is dating this other person to make you jealous.

It's a bit hard to say because I don't know her or what she's like. Do you know any of her family or friends? If so, maybe you could ask one of them. There could be many reasons why she is dating someone else and not you. Perhaps she is dating someone else because that person asked her and you didn't. Perhaps she tells all her close friends that she loves them and loves showing affection. I had a friend like that. How well do you know your co-worker that is dating her? You could ask your co-worker out for a drink one night and ask him how his relationship is going and probe a bit. Ask him how they first started going out etc.? You might find your answer that way....

Sorry I also got confused reading your lengthy question. Any way she is addicted to hugging and also she could be your best friend and later mate provided you have no objection to her addition.

*well...this could be 2 things...either she loves you more than a friend, or she is in love with you..you're probably over reacting. i tell a whole bucnch of my friends that i love them...and they are nothing more than friends..and if she feels that ya'lls FRIEND relationship is going great..then she might give you a "loving" hug... there are only certain people that i hug as well...not just people that i'm in LOVE with.

1) She's got a boyfriend, so it doesn't matter if she's interested in you
2) She's claiming to love you, but doesn't know you nearly enough for 'love' to be there
3) She'd been drinking...nuff said
Let it go...she's spoken for, and sounds like a typical affectionate drunk...some people get more touchy/feely when they've been drinking, and will make declarations (I love you) to all their friends, and sometimes to anyone around them...
Don't take it too seriously

I would ask her, its always better to know than to just sit there and worry about it and not know.
besides she has always been nice to you, so it wouldn't be a big deal to just ask.

she could really enjoy your friendship. listen she stated that she loved you not that she was in love with you.she could be viewing you as the brother she's never had.
