I can't get a video file from my computer to burn onto a DVD that will play in my TV' s DVD player. What software do I need? Video compression is Xvid and audio is Mpeg -3.

The video format for most USA DVD players is NTSC, region 1. Their is a certain structure (and no other) that must be adhered to. The two folders on the DVD are called VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS, and the contents of each must adhere to a fairly rigid and well defined standard as to their structure. A good place to start might be afterdawn.com, and good luck. It took me a few years to learn what it takes to make a DVD, and I STILL get a coaster every now and then.
