I'm 35. The weirder thing is watching everyone ELSE get old. You aren't aware that you yourself are getting older, but you see people you remember looking younger - Mel Gibson, Sharon Stone, your parents - and you say, "Holy crap! When did THAT happen!?!"
Then there are the subtle realizations that you can't do certain things anymore, like stay up all night drinking or fall off your bike and not feel it for a day or two.
I'm no old man, but I can certainly tell that the check is in the mail.
The nice thing is people automatically treat you with more respect, even if you are just as much of a dope as you were fifteen years earlier. Also, you make more money.
Either way, it beats the alternative.

I am 37, I do not consider myself old, to you I might be old. LOL - anyway, why are you worrying about something you have no control over - its inevitable and its going to happen so you should embrace it. With age comes wisdom, you learn things you would never deem possible. You steer where you are going in this world. If you haven't already, get a great career something you love. You will need to enjoy it so it can satisfy your life and your financial future. Have fun, travel, see the world and all it has to offer. Love and be loved in return, there is NO greater gift and it can be an amazing ride. To make it easier on yourself, just be happy, find out what it is that makes you happy and stick to it. Have fun - you honestly don't have a chjoice in the matter, only HE does! God BLess!

I'm 41...I'm getting old, you are getting old...everyone is GETTING old (some are just further from being old than others)...
I don't dwell on it...some slow down as they age, aches and pains occur, others stay healthy and relatively pain free...
The aging process is different for everyone...I like the maturity and knowledge I have now (and hopefully some wisdom) that I didn't have in my 20s...I've got great friends and do more fun "stuff" than I've ever done before...
Nothing scary about living life...only those that sit around and wonder when the grim reaper will come to their door, are scared of growing older...the average human lifespan is somewhere in the mid 70's so I've got at least 30 (natural) yrs left...but both sides of my family are long lived so it's possible I haven't quite reached "middle age" yet...
Make the best out of each moment of your life...because none of us knows when our last moment will be...
What exactly does this have to do with the category of Singles & Dating?

Well, I'm 41, soon to be 42. I get up in the morning and just hope I make it to the bathroom on time, then I hobble into the kitchen and take all my meds for arthritis and Alzheimer's, and also my Geritol. Then I get my walker and try to make it to the car, which takes a good 45 minutes to an hour. Not to mention having to listen to my bones crack and pop the whole time!!! Oh, it's so miserable being this old.

From what i have observe and believe is true, Older People (those above 40 y/o) are physically weaker but are wiser than us; their memories may wear off but they never really forget the people they Love. It's rewarding to grow old with love.

Actually you never really grow old. Its all in the mind. Your needs change with time and you tend to settle down so the way you look becomes less and less important.
