how to temporarily disable mcafee to upgrade to IE 7 from my yahoo?

my help menu on McAfee is no help at all and I am not very computer literate.

Simply shut off McAfee. Turn it off, do your upgrade and then turn it back on...should work like a charm considering McAfee will automatically update for you.
