a typical flower consists of pedicel, thalamus and floral whorls.
pedicel- stalk of flower,
thalamus- tip of the pedicel..which is enlarged.
floral whorls- typically 4 of them- the calyx,corolla,androecium and gynoecium. depending on the sp. there are differences in the no, also types .- for eg. there may be a perianth instead of clayx or corolla.

a typical flower grows from terminal buds ,auxillary buds. The bud gives rise to petals andrecium and gynecieum.
