No f*cking way. I'm his lover not his mother. God, if you do that the next thing you're worrying about is, why won't he pick up his wet towel or dirty undies! Nagging maternal women scare the hell out of me, never mind a man!
Being maternal to his children is very different to him! Yuk.
I work with men and their biggest complaint about their wives is that they nag, just like mothers do to their kids. Stop it women, you're giving us a terrible reputation!

No...I don't want to be anyone's "mommy", I want to be their partner...women are naturally (in general) caring, and nurturing...it's how we are wired...but I don't think of my relationship partners in terms of "mothering" them...
