I have, in Arizona. Yes it was traumatic. I was repeatedly called stupid by the officer after refusing to show him my ID. That got me handcuffed, they'd been called by a shop i frequented. The one employee in charge who disliked me for no reason I can imagine chose to press charges of trespass.

Then to top it off, I was intimidated out of pleading not guilty, by those who said I could get up to 5 years in prison and a huge fine should I fail.. and that i did technically trespass even if it was just to go back and try to apologize for my previous rude behavior, and was arrested on my way home from the property after delivering said sincere apology and agreeing never to come back.

So I plead no contest and feel sore.

I Have been arrested 12 times but only convicted 9. 3 or 4 were juvenile offences. It is never traumatic. The first time I remember the guys I was arrested with were freaking out I just let them cuff me and take me to jail and let a lawyer deal with it. I figured since they charged me with resisting I would just enjoy it and tell the cops to f-- off. I even piss-ed on the floor during the drug test. It was for an assault and i only got a couple months in juvy so I figured I can just do what I want and worst case all I get is a few months. All the other times I just take the arrest and figure it helps my reputation. Cops in my city generally know me. I never care and I never felt embarrassed when arrested, sentenced, led around in cuffs or shackles or frisked. I could never understand those guys covering their face or hanging their head. If I get arrested for something I want to so I am not going to be ashamed of it.

I have been arrested several times. Sometimes I have been guilty but other times I was not. My experiences were sometimes traumatic but other times not. It had nothing to do though if I was guilty or not. If the police officer was well train and not a ego maniac then it was fair treatment. Unfortunately we have many who go into the force because they have a chip on there shoulder. Many have been on Ritalin and don't know how to act professionally

I was once arrested on MY OWN PROPERTY for exercising my right of free speech. I was mad and wanted a tresspasser taken away but I was arrested because the deputy said he would not have me cussing around children. I was charged with criminal domestic violence and held for 24 hours. Charges were never pressed. I later found out that the deputy was a friend of the person I wanted removed.

The good ol boy network is alive and well in South Carolina.

The hand cuffs are a downer that's for sure. Being shackled to a bench will get your attention. But nothing..NOTHING compares to the iron slam of the cage door. No I haven't, you?

It's difficult to notice cops coming when you're stoned. They arrest you and take your weed.

Never arrested, but was threatened to be by a detective who pinned me down against a bookshelf.

I kept telling him to get off me, and he kept repeating his threat to arrest me. I knew he was in violation of my civil rights and abusing his authority. He had to no right to restrain me, and the moment I told him he was down for a grievance, he messed his pants and backed off, retreating to a corner pretending he did nothing.

...And no, I never got arrested, but he sure has me to remember in his personnel file
