I would feel very happy that they are looking beyond the physical traits that I may have.....beauty is only skin deep.

I would feel safe and secure. Personality doesn't change regardless of what happens to me on the outside so this person will ALWAYS like me no matter what. I would love that.
I think the problem in your example is that the girls are either lieing or twisting the truth. It is easy to like a fat guy for personality but you don't love him because being fat is an outcome of a poor lifestyle. Poor lifestyles are unattractive unfortunately sorry.

I think this is a very sensitive question. We all want to be acknowledged at some point in our lives. We need to feel that we are attractive to someone else. Many people have said they think I am an interesting person to know. But the moments I always remember most are when someone has told me I am attractive to them. You make a great point.

With my boyfriend, I couldn't care less what he looks like, because his soul is beautiful and his personality is amazing. He could gain copious amount of weight and I would still love him, because it wouldn't change "him". Its just an added bonus for me that he's incredibly good looking! :)
If someone just liked me because of how I am, not how I look, I would be more flattered than if they just thought I was "hot". Anybody can look good looking, make up and falseness can all make someone physically attractive. To be liked for having a good personality is much more rewarding, because you can't fake who you truely are.

id think it was great and the truth,,i mean its not a flatterer to someone you dont know very well is it but well,,,,,"you look like someones smashed your face in with a hot shovel, but your so funny"hmm,,not romantic at all but,,what about blind people? do they only date dogs or do they have to choose someone with what they consider a good personality...after a while we dont see the look of someone we know anyway,,we only see the real face of them,,beautiful or ugly isnt always on the outside,,the inner self always shines through.

I don't consider myself beautiful and during high school I didn't date because I could never find anyone who would look at internal beauty. Teenage boys were only interested in big boobs and anorexic looking girls with negative IQs. I would have given anything for a guy who went for personality. Luckily, I found a mature man who cared more about what was inside instead of outside. When I found that man, who appreciated me for me, I married him.

I would like it if anyone liked me looks or not. Personality is the major factor for liking someone because a winning personality can overcome looks to make the person look better when you look at them.

I'll put it this way. What would you rather, a really hot looking guy that treated you like a piece of S**T or someone you can converse with on an intellectual basis. I know which one i'd prefer
