You need a criminal lawyer. IF you are indigent, legal aid is provided by the state(public defender) when you appear for a court hearing IE preliminary, if you do not have legal representation and do not have the means(financial ability)your hearing will be postponed and a public defender will be assigned to your case. If this is your 1st possession charge, most likely you will get probation, if not you may have to make a plead...to get a lessor charge., by
accepting diversion or other drug treatment program. Good luck and Hey say no to DRUGS.

No lawyer in their right mind is going to give you professional advice on an internet site. Sorry it just doesn't work that way. You need to find you a good lawyer who has a good history and make an appointment and he will advise you. Don't think these guys are going to work on a payment plan or anything, normally after you talk to them and they advise you they will require their fee before they take it any further. Sounds like you have gotten yourself in a big mess. If you can borrow the money to hire a good lawyer, when you walk into court these guys are the only ones who will give you half a chance.

Hello:
Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Legal advice received from an Answer and Question site does not make a lot of sense. You have a lot at stake here and for the future.
Contact a qualified attorney that specializes in your area or legal problems. Many will see you for a free consultation.
Taking free advice from this site would be almost as bad of a mistake as getting into trouble in the first place.
Good luck.

Considering the gravity of your situation, I'd consult a lawyer before asking a bunch of dippy Yahoos like us that question...

my best advice for you is:
do the time. you should've stayed away from it. drugs are illegal in every state. and if you didn't know that there is a saying in Texas,"ingorance is no excuse". sorry buddy but if you're guilty and you know if you are or not deal with it. maybe time in the pen.will do you some good
