I am a 22yo male, in good shape and no history of medical problems. I have been having this burning sensation in my throat. It occurs when I belch, but sometimes it is there when I dont. My mouth does seem to water more when it occurs. When I drink water it seems to make it worse for a little while. Any clue on what this is and how to get rid of it?

This is Gastric Reflux. See a doctor if it is happening often, if not often then take something like Gaviscon or pepto bismol.

Talk to a doctor about this before you start eating tums or purple pills. There are other things that need to be looked at to determine what is going on and why you belch in the first place.

i used to have the same symptoms. The burning sensation is caused by gastric acid. It normally indicates the beginning of ulcer. Get medical help immediately. And take ANTACIDS whenever you get the sensation, they will help. Also avoid eating hot(temperature) food and food with too much pepper in it.

Good luck

Must be acid reflux or something. Eat tums I guess. Or purple pills or whatever they got on TV.

Try an antacid like mylanta or milk of magnesia.

Sounds like you have acid reflux.

See a doctor if the antacid doesn't help.

It's your stomach acid coming up; that stuff can melt rocks. Stop drinking soda and lower your sodium intake.
