Ok I had not thought about this before. Do I wish illegal immigration was legal? Let me think about it for a minute.

After thinking about it I have to say no.

My concern about making all immigration legal is that it would lead to anarchy.

Thank you for making me think about it. Good Day

No I do not. We have our own people to take care, do want to be fifty-five and knowing that all those years you worked hard, and now your social security fund is depleted because we are taking care of illegal immigrates medical expenses? You can build a better life for yourself anywhere. That is there excuse when they get caught "I only came here to work and get ahead." Well you can do it in your country, you just choose not to. Finish school and go to college even if you have to work two jobs to go, people in America do it all the time so why they cannot I don't know. Did you read to article about the town in Texas changing it's language to Spanish? You come to America, you LEARN ENGLISH, I don't go to Mexico and play dumb and neither should they.

300 million people in the USA is not underpopulated.please.My worry is if this freedom of travel and work .who pays the bills for the country they are in.Why should I a citizen of my country pay for a person using my country's facilities, using my schools, using my hospitals ,using my highways, using my country's natural resources and they don't.pay the income taxes I do to support all the things they use.How would that work with open borders?
Sure if that could be worked out and I'm not paying for the world to use my nation, then sure. Its not a problem of who is illegal its a problem of who actually pays for the illegals.I have read that the poster is 16 yrs old(he said)and although he is an intelligent 16 perhaps when he has to start paying the bills for others he may have a change of heart.....you cant wish or not wish for things without saying why you want or don't want them.

In principle, it would be much beter if people could just be free to travel as they please - the same way Brits are free to go to most places, just paying the bureaucracy for a visa.

The simple solution would be to let people come as long as they can support themselves - contrary to a lot of stuff in the papers, most immigrants aren't here to get benefits, but asylum-seekers aren't allowed to work.

People will say that mass immigration can cause us difficulties - well there are advantages and disadvantages. But if the rich countries of the world accept terrible poverty around the world, and insist that trade must be free, then they have to accept some of the consequences.

People that support "Make Poverty History" should support people coming here working, the money sent back to Africa by migrants is far more than the "aid" sent by charities.

Let people be free!

There are two issues that people often combine into one. There is the border issue, how to secure it, should it be open, etc. Then there is the issue of what to do with the 12 million illegal aliens already here.
As far as controlling border goes I'm not in favor of an open border. We need to control who enters the country the same way we need to control what goods come in.
As for the ones that are already here, particularly the ones that have been here for several years, I support establishing a path to legal status.

No, countries need to have strict control to protect themselves, otherwise people from all poor countries will walk in and claim all benefits which our Governments are already struggling to give their own people, it's not like we can go to their countries and get the same treatment.

No I don't think so. They come into our country illegally and that is against our law. Making them legal once here proves that this country is a mess.

yes, i do, 2 me im hispanic but im mixed and i was born here, but my father is a citizen here and he went thru as much hardships as others did trying to make it here, i believe they r being unfairly judged. we take our freedom for grnated, there r bad ppl everywhere but the reason other places have RULERS is b/c they need a place to be more orderly than ours, to them its a form of flattery to us a form of no regard towrds human life. u have to seriously ask urselves, y is immigration illegal, its like saying ur from america but ur moving to germany, u'll have to go thru the same thing about becoming a citizen, wats so bad about doin the same here, 4 those that dont want to ACTUALLY become a citizen its wrong but the others need to be given a chance. hope this helps.p.s. im only 13, but i got a big mind.

depends on which country this is in reference too. Countries like the US and UK, which are already underpopulated, need immigrants to keep the system running, so legalising them would be a more sensible thing. On the other hand China and India, positively don't need immigrants, and hence the rules reverse here.
