No time limit for seriousness, it depends on how the people involved are feeling and what they are ultimately wanting from the relationship.

It depends entirely on the couple? When I was a teenager, it took years before my boyfriend and I became serious. When I reached my early 30's my whole perspective on life and relationships changed and one relationship I had became serious after a week, and a month later we were planning on moving in together! But what I learnt from moving too fast was, that I didn't know enough about him and sadly it didn't last! People move too quick these days and relationships last longer by getting to know them as friends first! But again, everyone is different and only you can answer your own question.

It depends on the relationship and the two people. I would say that no one should get serious until 6 months but that is unrealistic. I dated a guy for 5 years and on our first date he said, "I don't know about you, but when I'm dating someone I'm exclusive." I replied, "Yes, I'm exclusive also, as soon as I'm sure that I want an exclusive relationshi with him." Then I started dating my current (and last) husband and on our second date (in May) and he said, "What am I going to do without you in November during hunting season?" I guess he must have seen the surprise in my face because he quickly qualified it with....if we're still dating. lol

That depends on you and your partner. some people enter a relationship only when they are asured it would be a permanent one where as others try it out to see if it can turn into something permanent or not.
Think about your relationship and your partner. Do you want the relationship to be serious or not? This is all that any other persona can do to help you. you will have to make the actual decision on your own.

there are no hard and fast rules as other people have already stated but, that walking on air feeling tends to last about 3 months, so if after that you still are mad about each other that's the time to decide if you're serious about each other or not.

We really can't tell. But when the question about marriage pops up, you are planning to raise kids or planning for the future. These are the signs that things are getting serious.

When you've looked after him 24/7 when he's sick. If you can still handle him, you might be serious about the guy.

There is no hard and fast formula - I know people who have got married after 1 year and people who have waited 8, how serious any relationship is can only be defined by the two people involved.

mostly when you feel serious about really wanting to date more often/every other night (at least)

You and your partner should sit down and have a serious conversation about what each of you want out of this relationship

go from there
