YES, you can fit the 3 child seats. But if / when you go from child seats w their own belts, to child seats that use the car's belt (for slightly older kids), you'll discover that buckling up the three seats with almost no space left between the child seats, and in the relatively limited space of the back seat, can prove a nightmare. I have 4 kids and have lived this, with an Audi A6.

Based on my experience you'll be much, much better off with a car that (1) has higher seats so that when you buckle up the kids you don't have to dive into the back seat but can remain standing comfortable, and (2) has a back seat that is roomy, and meant for 3 kids (as opposed so a 5 series or an A6, really mean for two large adults, narrow bench in the middle).

What kind of car does this mean?
- some 4x4's do it. They're not very green of course. The Nissan Pathfinder (new) does it - ok it's less high-end but it does it well, has 7 seats total, too, all folding. The Volvo XC90 does it really well, price-wise it is comparable to an Audi or a BMW - it also comes with optional 2 folding seats in the abck. The Land Rover Discovery does it well also - though on tests i've found it quite impractical to park and manoeuvre.
- various minivans: Renault Espace (though their non-folding, heavy seats, are a pain in the neck). And others
- various small minivans: such as a VW Touran; or a Renault Scenic; or even a Toyota Corolla Verso. Clearly these are not as show off as an Audi or BMW - but you'd be surprised how much you can fit in a Touran (and it's really practical for in city driving)

hope this helps

good luck

I had a new A6 last year. You will fit 3 baby seats in as there are 3 3 point belts.
Nuce car as well.

The 5 series windscreen wipers go the wrong way as a point to note. Only X5 and 3 series haev RHD windscreen wipers.
Why spend £30k on a car and they can't be bothered to do RHD wipers??
