First and foremost is when she turns into a controlling nag. Also when she carries the baggage of her past relationships into current one eg always communicating with her ex may be even still having sex. Not being satisfied with the guy u are with, so always flirting and communicating with other men regularly instead of being honest with ur man and telling him u want out.

could also be what behavior the guy has seen growing up. how his mother and father behaved towards each other. i know a couple of guys who have problems respecting women because of their fathers. there are lots of different factors that can make a guy do that.
