Hi, I'm seventeen and I've been called 'a strange girl' and 'weird' by my best guy friend who I adore, he isn't mean about it, he was just stating a fact about how eccentric I can be about things - but I'm wondering does he thinks it's a bad thing to be like that or do guys prefer a bit of freakiness?
Will being that way make him like me for being unusual or will he find me unattractive? (your opinion!)

Hi to the person who wanted to know what he was on about - 'He' says things about the way that I jump at the slightest things, scream loudly, find most things funny, and am easily embarrassed - does that mean he's picking fault or has just seen what I'm really like? (Cos I am like that!)

I suppose it would depend on the weirdness. I think most people do something that other people find weird or quirky but also endearing at the same time. If he isn't being nasty about it and he is still your best guy friend then I don't think it's a problem.

Do you want him to like you more than a guy friend? I don't think he thinks you are unattractive. Most guys are very visually orientated when it comes to finding the opposite sex attractive, so he is hanging out with you for a reason.

What kind of things is he on about anyway? Perhaps I can answer specifically if I knew.

Do you mean weird

or do you mean WEIRD...

tone down the freakiness but don't stop being yourself even if you are weird ...being unusual is usually the attraction

There's someone for everyone. And what one person thinks is freaky another thinks is adorable. Don't change who you are be true to yourself!

All my life I have been considered 'Weird'. We are what we are, you a person who has a mind of your own...keep it. Too many people willing to control our thoughts.

You will learn when to control your own weirdness so that it does not effect your life and becomes a problem.

Just be yourself, they either like you for who you are or not. I'm a tad weird myself, never bothered me or the guys I see.

Have you ever heard the saying, "I like a B**** on the street on the street, but a freak in the bed?"

well, i like weird, freaky girls, myself, but my opinion to your dilemma is to just be yourself. dont change just to get someone to like you. if he doesnt like you for who you are, there is always the next guy who does like you. just be yourself. chances are, if you think he isnt mean about it, then he might like you, too.

well if it it makes you less boring - who cares. But if your weirdness becomes obsessive then that is a problem too.
