Truth: correspondence of the known facts of existence with the sum total of God's universe; may be known by general and special revelation-but only so much as God chooses to reveal. God made known all that man needs to know for life and salvation. Truth is manifested supremely in Christ.

At John 17:17 Jesus says there 'Your word (i.e God's Word the Bible) is Truth. So that clearly sums it up whatever the bible says is the truth about God and not what people say or what the popular opinion is.

People today can refer to the bible as outdated but altho being one of the oldest books in the world it answers practically all questions, from science to the physical.

So when a person reads the bible, get to know more than the stories, meditates on it we can find the truth and it will set us free ... from what??? From superstitious beliefs (e.g the dead are concious of nothingetc) from sin and death, life's perplexing questions and a host of others. Start now if you havent before. Its worth the effort. Remember meditation is important to get to the truthfull understanding of the bible and sincere prayers for help from God. For further information click on this website. www.watchtower.org

GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness?
http://www.submission.org/suras/sura5.ht...
[5:116] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.
[5:117] "I told them only what You commanded me to say, that: `You shall worship GOD, my Lord and your Lord.' I was a witness among them for as long as I lived with them. When You terminated my life on earth, You became the Watcher over them. You witness all things.
[118] "If You punish them, they are Your constituents. If You forgive them, You are the Almighty, Most Wise."
[119] GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness." They have deserved gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is the greates triumph.

Jesus is the Word of God, He is the Truth.

how many christians read bible properly. rather quoting verses after verses, readit once properly. scriptures are not like rocket science formulas.

truth never remains the same for ever. it keeps changing.what is truth for jesus, is not your truth. everybody has to find thier own truth. scripture & holy books are not worth anything.

no one can enlighten anybody about truth. Truth itself is enlightenment. why is such confusion amongst christians - always confused about jesus, bible and god. that means you are not able to grasp such a simple thing in life.

He did to me. I did not understand the complexity of his undertakings 2k years ago. I did not understand how his death could save the world. I did find most of his teachings to be quite strange and strangely disarming. Somehow his words make me cry often.

Only till now, several years after, that all pieces of disturbing unrelated thoughts fall into one big picture with him to be the center of all universal activities. I can't explain it quite well for now but I feel strangely at peace whenever this big picture of him churns out in my mind at any unexpected moment.

Jesus is the Truth of God's word manifested in the flesh. Jesus is Truth and Truth is the Word of God, which is the Holy Bible. Someone said that reading the Bible isn't brain surgery (or something like that.) True, one can strictly read the words once and think they have all understanding, but have you ever watched a movie more than once and saw or noticed things you didn't see the first time?
The Bible is like no other book and the word's in it are very powerful. First, the Bible must be read by using your heart, as well as your mind, and it is multi-layered. Meaning that there are more levels of meaning in the words than you think there is at first glance. God uses simple things to confuse the wise.

Jesus came to suffer on the cross and die a sacrificial death and shed his blood to pay for all the worlds sins and rise again to defeat death, hell, and the grave once and for all. If he never rose from the dead, then Christianity is vain, but he did. His resurrection proved that the over 300 detailed prophesies of his birth, death, and resurrection in the Old Testament were speaking of Jesus as the one True Messiah. Read Isaiah 53. (One of many.)

Be not deceived! You cannot earn your way to heaven by good deeds. Our works are as filthly rags in the sight of God. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Man will be held accountable to God for their sins. The ten commandments are there to reflect our true nature. Without law there is no transgression. Have you ever lied? Have you ever lusted after someone or someones stuff? Have you always put God above all other things? Have you ever stolen anything (value is insignificant)? Have you ever used God's name as a cussword?
If God judged you by the ten commandments on judgement day would you be innocent or guilty? (There will be a judgement for Christians and non-Christians, whether you believe in it or not.) Join the crowd, we are all guilty, except Jesus, who was born of God to be a perfect sacrifice for us. "For by grace we are saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, NOT of works, that no man should glory" (in earning his own salvation.) (Eph 2:8-9) God loves us unconditionally, despite our sinfulness. (John 3:16) Because of His great love for us, God, while remaining true to His perfect justice, made a way for us to be free from our sin. (Romans 3:23-27)

Jesus also came to reveal the true nature of God and His plan for man. "The Son of man (Jesus) came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many." (Mark10:45) He went healing, teaching, and delivering people from sins and tormenting spirits. He warned of false prophets and the reality of hell. He said that if you have seen me then you have seen the Father.

This is why Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
Then he goes on to say "If you had known me, you should have known my Father also; and from henceforth you know him, and have seen him." (John 14:7)

The Truth is that there is no other name under heaven where you can be saved. "The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ." (Romans 7:21)

Trust in Jesus as your Lord and saviour, repent (turn from) your sins, profess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus died, was buried, and that God raised him from the dead and you shall be saved. Read and study the Bible daily and follow the teachings.

God loves us so much that he created us to be able to choose whether we will accept or reject him. He did not make us robots. He has set before us life and death, choose life.

I pray that you discover the truth before it is too late! I hope someone benefits from this answer. Yes, it is narrow thinking. Jesus said "Enter in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and there will be many that go in that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, there will be few who find it." (Matthew 7:13-14) Jesus is the narrow way!

God Bless!
