you also have a tangent line, angles.how hard to hit the cue ball ??what will it do if you hit it off center? ? how will the cue ball react when it hits the other ball??...get on a tableand see,,alot of the Pros use the site(the white dots on the rail) to make thier shots...as you can see theres alot of math in pool

on an actual pool table there are dimonds or little circles along the sides of the table, if you line them up you get a grid. within that grid you will be able to line up your shits perfectly with a mathematical sence.

The lines and angles of travel are mostly geometry. That's the easy part.

The actual play involves more physics and the execution is open to player errors. The pros can pocket shoots AND control the cue ball by tempo and spins.
