How does a Christian feel if he/she meets an equally fanatical Muslims?

Do you realise how similar some of your arguments get and how eerie that both sides are equally convinced that the other is wrong and doomed to hell?

If Christian Trinity God is the One True God, He will subdue all the world, why should Christians fear criticism or disminicration? And if Muhamadan Allah is the One True God, why should Muslims also fear? I think anybody believing in the One True God, he should prove God's omnipotence by showing selfless love to all people without fear of any oppositin. Our doubt is a proof that we have no true faith in God.
Truth never belongs to those who claim monopoly to it. Truth must be naturally truth to all people.
Praying that all men will soon realize the truth revealed by the Messengers of the One True God and cease to cherish division like people in the past due to the natural and human barriers.

No. I am not scared of what religions claim are their truth. What is scary is how many people will follow even the most stupid religions and they keep coming up with more. If you only follow christian/jew/muslim stuff then you will realize that they are similar but other religions do not all preach this type of thing. You seem to have isolated your grasping of religious beliefs to these three religions. There are hundreds of different religions so you only focus on the most popular. What is scary is that people are more like sheep than people.

Many fanatical religious beliefs are indeed "scary".

One important point that the fanatics should try to mentally grasp:

quote:
===============================
The ethic of reciprocity or "The Golden Rule" is a fundamental moral principle found in virtually all major religions and cultures, which simply means "treat others as you would like to be treated." Its universality suggests an innate human altruism and is arguably the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights.

I am a muslim and was taught that true chrisianity and judism as preached by Jesus and Moses during the time of their walk on earth was equally the truth.. Just that time disorted their messages as no one wrote down the complete messages as they were delivered during their times.. word of mouth tales often get changed throughout time.. The Quran is actually what Moses and Jesus taught.. So Islam does believe that Christianity and Judism in their pristine forms are the truth..

I agree with you, although I am a christian, its not up to us to change a persons mind. We as christians should spread the word to those who doesnt know Jesus, allot of Atheists know about Jesus, but they choose not to take Him on as their saviour. That their problem and we as christians has to accept that. The bible clearly tell us that if someone doesnt want to take the word of God, then we must dust of our feet and move on, not fighting and arguing over who's right or wrong.

Bless you

It's even scarier that people think the Bible and Quran contain a perfection of philosophy and can not be contested.

I won't consider it scary, but confusing

But still, every side has his point of view, and we should respect that

B cause they know they are as far removed from truth as it may be possible, hence they try to impose on others .

Scary...? No, it's bound to happen in a fallen world. But there is, after all, only one God - whom Jesus Christ knew as Father...

It is scary, because it leads to out-group hatred and intolerance (no matter how much they profess otherwise).
