Since its a scrub, I think it should scratch the face a little or I maybe wrong. For those of you who are users, could you please verify me on this.

no it wont, the scrub only helps removing a very thin layer on the skin, thats why u feel so fresh after using it, cause u use an unnecessary layer.
this layer contains dirt(from air), oils which create spots, blackheads.
but i dont recommend u using facial scrub if u have dry skin.
if u have dry skin, use other facial cleansers made specificaly for dry skin, dont use scrub.

Facial scrubs are there to remove dead skin cells and help with the regeneration of new cells.

Think of it like metal polish on metal (not your face :) ), it cleans the metal and gets rid of dirt and smooths it, too much and it won't be that good, the same thing not enough and it would be ineffective. The same thing for facial scrubs, always read the instructions (some are daily, some are weekly, etc).

Some facial scrub are abrasive, some are non-abrasive, it depends what brand you buy will dictate how it cleans the skin.

Hope this helps.

Yes a scrub "scratches" your face, but scrubs are gentle so they should just affect the outer dead layer. So in fact it gets rid of the dead cells that make you complexion dull. But be gentle because if you rub too hard, you can irritate the inner layer also, and that will show. Always follow with a good moisturizer.

If you have very sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend using it, you could get a reaction, ie red or "blotchy" skin. Other wise, just be very gentle when you use it, just gently massage your face with the scrub, do not rub. Don't use it every day, a couple of times a week should suffice.

It exfoliates the skin but does not hurt it. You just don't want to overuse them. Use about once or twice a week. Ones with ground nut shells are best for very dry but not very sensitive skin. Ones with microbeads are better to use either more often or on very sensitive skin. For the body about anything goes because the skin is not so sensitive on rough, dry , arms and legs. Pumice, shell, beads , whatever works and doesn't cost too much . I don't spend as much time or money on body in winter as I do on face.
