God is One as Baba Nanak said Ek Onkar. Hindus are an ancient civilization predominantly from the Indus river Basin. There are numerous Gods in the Hindu culture. The reason that the general population was illiterate and to explain to them about something unseen was impossible. That is why Ravan is shown with 12 heads to show his great knowledge The Hindus have 3 crore Gods Devi's
The Hindus have 3 god heads called the trinity Bramha . Vishnu Mahesh. All rules have been made by Pandits and I do not think you need to know them They are never ending

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is Vishnu, Govinda or Krishna. (There are lots of other names too, and even the names Allah and Jehovah are for the same personality as Vishnu and Krishna). There are a lot of demi gods who take care of different aspects of the spiritual and material worlds. They serve the Supreme Lord. Brahma and Siva are the main demigods. Brahma creates and Siva destroys. Vishnu maintains.
Basic idea is to love God, same as Islam and Christianity.
Rules for helping a person to do this are no sex outside marriage, no gambling, so meat fish or eggs, no alcohol or drugs - all these things are big distractions on the path. They disturb the mind and make us clock up more karma that binds us to this world. But even if a person doesnt follow all the rules, and even if he does, the best thing to always do is chant Gods names. This is not strictly a hindu thing, cos hindus sometimes worship the demigods more than they worship supreme lord which is kind of silly really.... they do this for materialistic reasons usually. But a person becomes truly happy when he is loving Supreme personality of Godhead, Krishna, and the best way to do this is to hear and chant His names.... Krisha Krishna Krishna...Govinda Gopala Rama Madana Mohana. :)

There is no anything such as Hindu God, but Hinduism has a very beautiful concept on God.
God is not a distinct authority who is sitting elsewhere and passing judgements.
The whole universe is part of God.
Thus, there is no two- such as Creator and creation, you and me human being and nature so and so- all and everything are part of the Paramatma, the Sup ream Entity.
You are god, I am god and everything and everyone we find around us are god.
Once we die, our atma- the soul- dissolve into the Paramatma, our ultimate aim of life on the earth.
Of course in Hinduism we find a lot of rituals, but without following any rituals or strict constitution, you can be a Hindu. Idol worship is there in Hinduism, but idol worship is not Hinduism.

Hindu religion believes that Power as God which is the source
of creation of all beings and sees God in everybeing..Human....
Animal....Birds..Trees & plants..Sun..Moon...Stars..and feels the
existance of God in them. Hindu Religion also worship the entire
Nature as God. It says that we all have come from one source...
Whichever way we worship ... it will reach that one God/Almighty.
It says the entire humanity is one family and firmly believes that
all religion are to be respected equally.."Sarva Dharma SamaBhava". Work is worship and God is with you wherever
you do your duty and good intentions and sincere work brings you
good fruits . It emphasise on purity of thoughts and deeds.
God can't be seen but can be felt.... to make it convenient to
worship they symbolise God.. thus imagine and create statues
as per the imagination of the wroshipper.... There are ten "avatara" as per the mythology... For more informations you
can read "BhagavadGeeta" a part of "MahaBharat" (Lord Krishna) and another Book "Ramayana" (Lord Rama). They are
like Bible of Christ and Kuran of Islam. Hindu religion never says
that you will find salvation only through Hidu way of worship..
It says you pray in your own way as per your religion.. It will reach
the same God the Creator.. That is the Wast Ideology.

Hinduism is one of the oldest religions. Its traces are found since 4000 BC. It is an Aryan cast.
The basic idealogy of Hinduism dpends on ONE GOD who has no image, no hand or foot etc.
Gradually they included many Gods and Goddess being worthy of worship. Now many holy preachers and personalities have been included as Gods. The approximate number of Gods in Hinduism is 4000 plus...
Simply " Every thing is God "

Hindu God is an ordinary man like you and me, but he has some magical powers to perform some miracles. These magical power they achieve from meditation for years and years.......but I know their gods can marry and have children. They can be good and sometimes bad too, I don't know if these gods are impressive, but
The holy book of Hindus called Bhagwat Geeta , preaches just like Bible and Koran. It gives wisdom and knowledge of every aspect of life.
Now if they feel peace in Idol worship...let them have it.........after all we live in democratic Era.
