Tamil is a classical language and its grammer is totally different from other Indian languages.And also it is highly complex. Even for people with tamil as mother tongue, it will be difficult to learn all the grammer.
If you like learn and enjoy the richness the language brings with it you need to find a good teacher.
if you are learn just for fun or travel then any basic language course in the net will do.

It is not an easy language. It is very difficult, to learn, on net. Reason being, it is one language, which does not follow, either Sanskrit Grammar, as most Indian languages do, or Roman Grammar & script. It is an independent language. Best to have coaching.
