I only have one cupcake pan and end up with extra batter, I usually put that in a cake pan, but I would like to make more cupcakes. Can I set the batter aside and reuse the cupcake pan or will this ruin the batter?

Yes you can make more muffins w/ the extra batter, you would want to put the extra batter in the fridge to keep in from deflating - when the cupcakes come out of the oven remove the ones you have allready made and let the pan cool - and then refill and make more :)

Yes you can. Be sure to keep the batter away from the stove.

Yes, you can, just don't leave the extra batter for too long or the leavening action will begin to lose its potency.

No, the cake mixture needs to cooked as soon as you have folded in the flour otherwise the cakes will not rise sufficiently.
