They are just trying to get close to you.
You will need to use some type of squirt bottle to discourage that.
If you pick them up from time to time and give them some of the attention they crave they will be less likely to use your leg for a tree trunk. Cats love to climb so get them a climbing post and that will help. But the water bottle will be your best defense until they learn what is allowed.

Only experienced this once. We were in Hong Kong and, without asking me, my daughter informed me that we had agreed to look after the cat of a family who were returning to Germany for the summer. Cleo. Cleo came with a full set of sprays, one of which stopped her ripping up carpets, but none which stopped her ripping up my legs. When I went into the kitchen, wearing only a short kimono, she would beg for food, by climbing up my legs - and she was no kitten! I'll swear that cat was feral.
Managed to tame her, (a bit) by accident. My daughters also had ferocious terrapins (meat eaters - they loved the remains of pork chops), and sometimes I let them swim around in the children's bath. Cleo would sit on the edge of the bath, fascinated by them. One evening, we were sitting round the dining table when there was a splash, a horrified miaow and Cleo shot through the dining room to take refuge in my daughter's bedroom. She had fallen into the bath and never gave the terrapins a sideways glance after that. Never could stop her climbing up my legs.

Dont think you can stop them, thats what kittens do....all part of their 'charm'. Now mine are 7 months old, theyre acceptable but the last 5 months have been nearly unbearable and theyve been threatened with being taken to the RSPCA too many times. Thatll teach me to get a kitten, wont do it again

scream and put the kitten down. I have a kitten here, one of 3 . The other 2 have gone to my son and he has the same problem. Without confering we both screamed at the pain and shock and when we were talking about it on the phone, were killing ourselves laughing because the kitten shot off in shock and horror, then sat for the next hour giving us both filthy looks for spoiling his fun.
It took only 2 screams before the kittens simply stopped doing it.

Your kittens are probably treating you as their mum ,and want attention and to get close to you, try petting them more often. They will grow out of that habit soon.As any vet will tell you a cat will only come to you if it wants to,so treat it as a compliment.you could try wearing heavy jeans in the mean time, spraying water or hitting them with anything might break the bond between you .

substitute your leg - cats are curious and playful and love to climb, string up a little jungle gym and buy a scratching post.
and for when they do try to climb up your leg break out the water gun, works everytime and dont set it to fine mist, have some back bone and squirt him

My cat does that, I kick her (gently of couse) but it doesn't work for long. I guess you could try spraying water at them when the do it. The thing is though, that cats (unlike dogs) don't feel guilty about their actions, so pretending that it hurts or shouting at them doesn't work. Horrible things!
Everyone says its when they want to play, but my cat only does it when I'm late for feeding her or something. Mine is just nasty I guess.
