They don't really stuck, the bubbles form by other small bubbles merging together, when the bubble gets big enough, it will float to the top. If the bubble dosen't get big enough, it is held down by they pressure of the fluid on top of it.

they're holding on as tight as they can to keep from being ejected into the atmosphere which they have been led to believe is deadly.
