Why do the palms of hand itch?

My palms itch every now and then. What would be the reason?

There was a time when it was said to mean money was coming and the more it itched the higher the amount. After the itching stopped do you remember if you got any unexpected money? If it's the left hand it's said to mean a letter is coming from an unexpected source. I know this is so totally country but it is in fact true with me. I've gotten 24,000 dollars after my right hand had itched for 2 weeks and I'd scratched it so much it was red from stem to stern. An elderly woman had saw me clawing at it and she told me to put my hand in my pocket after I scratched it and told me why to do it and I did. The itching dissipated and imagine my shock when it turned out that she was right and I got a check for 24,000 dollars!

My grandmother told me that when your right hand itches, it means money coming your way. I have to admit, I know that one to be true because EVERY time my right hand itches, I get money within two days of my hand itching. She said that the left hand means you will shake hands with a stranger. I havent found that one to be true. But my left hand almost never itches.

My mom told me once that it means money. You either receive your salary soon or win a lottery. But i think its the lack of hand hygiene.

I had the same problem before. Eventually it got away after putting some hand lotion. Sorry if that wasn't helpful.
