Okay, I'm applying for graduate school as we speak. And I've come across two questions.

A.) Do you wish to be considered for financial assistance?

Of Course.

B.) Do you require financial assistance?

I am unsure how to answer this second question. I'm afraid if I answer no, they won't even consider me for finanical aid; but if I answer yes I'm worried they might reject me alltogether because they can't give finanical aid.

If I don't get some sort of finanical aid (fellowship or Teaching Assitantship, at least), I'll probably be able to make it though grad school, but I'll probably have to take out a few loans. So, I don't REQUIRE finanical aid, but it is something that is very important.

Anyone with experience know the correct way to answer this question?

I think the best answer to question B is yes. In regards to the teaching assistant or fellowship, I recommend checking it out on the college's website to see if there is any additional applications that needs to be filled out to be considered for one. Of course, I recommend also applying for graduate scholarships which are competitive and few in supply, so I have provided some free membership scholarship search websites. Also, check with their financial aid and the college major's websites for a list of scholarships available to its graduate students.

I also think your answer to questions B should be YES. There are many forms of financial assistance. There is a brand new loan called the Grad PLUS loan as well as the many private student loans out there. To speak with a loan counselor at Collegiate Solutions regarding their loan options call 1-877-490-6639. You are also eligible for a private student loan, where the money is sent directly to you and not the school. iStudentLoan offers these loans, call 1-888-816-5626. Good luck!
