Don't push him....that's normal what he is doing....if you push him you will lose him or at least start fights...let me tell you a little secret....he sounds wounded, he may not be able to open up...
He is probaly a sanguine mixed with choleric...and you sound like a melancholic....trust me, dont ask him to open up how you expect him to...if you love him, step down a bit and he will love you...i am sure of this.
Be patient with him and let him WRITE stuff rather than say it to you... If you need more info.... email me on systemofadylan@yahoo.com or message me on myspace.com/systemofadylan
i can help you understand him judging by what you say...

There are many variables for his not responding and opening up. What happened to his marriage, how long have you two been together, does he want to settle down again.......
He may not be on the same page emotionally as you are. You are right to question his sincerity. If you want to stay with him it seems you may need to take some time for him to come around. Some men are bad at opening up, I hope this is not the case but if so, you would be better to move on and find a man that is not afraid to express his emotions.

WE ARE JUST WIRED LIKE THAT!!! Made that way, get it? Men generally dont like to talk serious relationship stuff. We find no amusement at all in this. Especially things like "Are you going to marry me", "why don't you ever tell me you love me" e.t.c.
Read his actions and don't try to get words out of him. Men are like that. I guess he's also asking "Why does she always try to sit me down for these conversations?"

Hmm... It's quite normal male behavior to not want to discuss really sensitive issues. U needn't worry. Just tell him that if he ever wanted to talk about anything that bugs him, that u're there for him. Tell him u want to be best friends with him and share all his problems. Don't push him to open up.

Man will start to open up when they are fully comfortable with you and the surrounding he is in. Give him his space and let him open up slowly, don't rush just take things slow.

typical male --- we find it difficult to talk about our emotions --- it does improve in time
tell him how you feel and as he cares he will want to change --- i say this confidence but too many will not want to
