Linux is a Unix based system. Most community colleges offer unix courses. If you're running MAC it's very similar to Linux. Just learn all the Unix commands. If you don't have Linux you can install cygwin and it gives you a Unix-like shell that you can practice commands on.

Once you've learned all the Unix commands
go download and install fedora. Stop using windows. It's bad for you.
