As long as your boyfriend has some form of ID -- passport, visa, state issed ID card, birth certificate -- you can marry, and in many states you can marry at sixteen without parental consent.

Good luck to you, if this is the course your decide upon. Marriage is a frightening, amazing thing.

No, you cannot get married without your bf's papers anywhere even though there may be age limit differences in some places. The only closest thing I can think of is a living together relationship by the time you reach 18 and he can get his ID papers. You may want to move to another locality.

Stuff.. come on...You are 16 .. if its really love.. it can wait.. if its true love... you will get through school and get into college...and then worry about getting married... its a dog eat dog world out there.. and getting married means kids soon after.. which means no school... ovr half of the marriages end because of financial hardships.. and most abusive relationships are too.. you are young.. live life to the fullest and get the life you need... keep it real...the world is cruel... I speak from experience...

This won't be mean. But, why would want to get married? Can't you just live together first? Trust me. You'll be missing out on a whole huge life experience. What does "not have papers" mean?
To each his own, but you would be making a huge mistake. Not to say that you don't love each other, but take some time, don't be a statistic.

Don't be a fool to get married at very young age. You will regret for not enjoying the life of the single women. Why hurry anyway? Finish college first, then get a job, enjoy first your life without responsibility. Be mature first, life nowadays is really very hard if you can not provide something for your family.

your boyfriend doesn't have papers? okay well if you guys do get married he still wouldn't be a citizen right away. i think you would have to sponsor him. i have heard if can take a few years. he will have to go back to his home country before becoming a citizen of the US.

i won't comment on my thoughts about your age or illegal immigration

Youre only 16, at that age you love one person one day and a month later you hate the **** out of them. Why dont you wait and see how things turn you.

You have SO much time ahead and SO much life to live.
Go ahead and love him, but don't rush into marriage.
Live your LIFE!
Go to college!
Figure out who you really are!
Get out there!
If it is the real thing, it will still be there when you get back.
