Have you thought about NOT DRINKING ALCOHOL??? Apparently not, you continue to do something that hurts you. What's up with that?

I don't think that the wine or beer actually causes cystitis but they will certainly aggravate any lurking problem.
The best, most effective, natural cure for cystitis is the following:
3 drops of essential oil of Juniper on 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (sugar is usally a no-no for cystitis but the juniper is so bitter it is very necessary). Then, fill 3 pint glasses with warm water, sit on the loo or in the bath and drink as much as you can as quickly as you can. Just let it come out. If your kidneys are working well it will take about half an hour to process all the fluid and you should be much better by the end of it. You may need to repeat a couple of times a day for a couple of days to get right on top of the problem.
It is really important to make sure you drink plenty of water, avoid tea, coffee and all sugary foods and drinks when you have cystitis.
Don't take any natural remedies if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are on any other medication - check with your Dr that there won't be any contraindications.

Chances are you have a lingering infection that hasn't been properly cleared up. Get some antibiotics from your GP and that should help. Then, when you drink alcohol, make sure that you drink water as well to stop yourself getting really dehydrated. The water will help to flush the bad things through you.
Or, you could have a condition called Interstitial Cystitis which is basically an allergy to certain things which causes an irritation in your bladder. The symptoms of which are similar to cystitis, but its not an infection. I have it, its easy to manage (although you do have to cut back on the booze I'm afraid) and since being diagnosed I have been clear of cystitis - that's about 5 years now.
Get yourself checked out with the Dr or ask to see a specialist.

I have a similar problem but it's not cystitis, it is prostatitis. I find that there are some beers and wines that I just have to leave alone (Bud is terrible for me!) Try having a glass of still / tap water between your drinks - hardly party animal stuff but you know what the pain is like afterwards...good luck

No I do not but it is caused by the beer and its yeast also dehydration to much alchol dehydrates you so you are not getting the fluids you need to flush out you bladder. You need to also have a soft drink during your session and the next day drink at least two pints of water to flush the bug out. Cranberry juice/lemon juice is excellent as it contains acid that flushes the bug out of your system. You can buy Pots Pan from chemist for cystitis but it is not nice to drink.
The trick is when you get home drink water before you go to sleep or better still lemon or cranberry.

Yes i get it every time i have a drink and its so painful. i went to my doctor and he said that alcohol does aggravate it and he gave me some antibiotics. I now drink a couple of glasses of cranberry juice on the day I'm going to drink this helps prevent the cystitis and also a couple of glasses when i get in.
to be honest there isn't much you can do to stop it. but try the cranberry juice as i said it workes for me.
Hope you manage to get sorted out

This would be the yeast in the beer but I don't know what it is in wine. Maybe you should stick to healthier drinks from now on like water and juices and leave the not so great for you stuff alone.

Are you sure its actually cystitis? It could be prostatitis like one of the other users has above.

MAybe try drinking vodka and cranberry juice? Sometimes avoidance is just the best tactic (though not always the most fun)
