assume that i have the ability to travel time
there was the "i" of yesterday
there is the "i" of today
there will be the "i" of tomorrow
the "i" of yesterday traveled forward time to meet the "i" of today
the "i" of tomorrow will travel back time to meet the "i" of today
so there are 3 "i"s today
They are three persons, but actually they are only one being-"i"
They share one nature-the nature of "i".They can communicate with each other. They are three but they also are one

The soul is the true ego or identity. It is responsible for the "I"-ness. One of the properties of the soul is to own the body or "possess" the body as long as the body is capable of living. It also has the capability to monitor life in the body or detecting whether the body is worthy of functioning. Just as a guitarist possesses the guitar, the soul possesses the body. The guitarist plays music through the guitar. In the same way, the soul expresses itself as love and compassion. Just as music is not a propery of the guitar, love and compassion are not inane to the body or the brain. The guitar is capable of music only because of the musician.
The soul is constantly monitoring the body for life and once the body is incapable of functioning, it disowns the body - just as a broken guitar serves no purpose to the guitarist. In the case of anasthesia, the soul is cognizant of life in the body and continues to own the body. It is the same with sleep, a natural form of anasthesia. In this, the soul is in complete control of when to anesthize the body and when to wake it up. For example, we wake up from sleep even if there are no external factors like alarm clocks or people waking us up. What is the cause for this? Study on sleep or dreams, say that circadian rhythms are responsible for this. The soul is that which controls the circadian rhythms. Its the guitarist picking up the guitar to play the music.
The soul or "I-ness" or true ego is common across all beings. Then what is differnt between beings. The mind which generates the false ego through the associative process of "I-am-ness" is different. I-AM John, a christian. I-AM Abdul, a Muslim. Associating true ego or "I" with the body and its sensory inputs and dogmas and doctrines and through the associative AM-ness generates a false ego. The false ego is destructible. The false ego, because it superimposes its beliefs on the "I" gets deluded that it is the true ego. The feeling of oblivion during anasthesia or deep sleep is because of the termination of the false ego. The AM-ness is destroyed during that moment, but the I-ness continued. Even if one was oblivious during anasthesia or sleep, one is certainly sure that one existed. Therefore, existence is I-ness or the soul. Awareness or Consciousness or false ego or the "mind" is destroyed.
Death is simply an elaborate mechanism very similar to sleep. During this process one guitar is traded in for a better one. The awareness ceases, the existence continues. For existence always was, is and will be. Nothing can create existence or destroy it. Esistence exists, always for all time!
I + I + I = I

That would work great, but time travel just isn't very feasible. The Earth is hurtling through space around the sun. If you travel back in time from the spot you are at today, you'll travel to yesterday or tomorrow in the middle of space, with the Earth far in front or behind you.
Good idea if not for that, though.
Even if it could work, what if the conscious you wanted to get with a chick, but one of the other future/past yous ended up bagging her instead of the present you?
That would suck.

Actually each "i" will have a distinctly separate consciousness from the other two, each with different memories developing since the beginning of the time travel experiment.
The three separate consciousnesses might not agree with each other after an extended period of time either.

There are three identical people each separate from one another. While they are identical, it does not make them one being.
They are not one thought process. Each shall experience life from their own perspective, not a joined perspective (ie telepathy). In retrospect, we are all humans, we all share the same exact elements of the universe, are fashioned very similar to one another. We could be considered one organism, but in reality we are individuals, as would be the case of your past, present, and future.

The best words you can use to describe God as a Trinity is using the Bible's words. Try as you may to equal God's Words, you will fail.

1 1 was a racehorse
2 2 was 1 2
1 1 1 1 race
and 2 2 1 1 2
or 'one one' was a racehorse
'two two' was one too
'one one' won one race
and 'two two' won one too

Water/ice/steam is another; still not a perfect analogy, but a bit simpler for my weak old mind.
