seriously, cramming is not a good strategy ...
but if you have to do it, try Tony Buzan's memory maps as a way of organising data, breaking it down and memorising it
create lists of things you have to remember on "cue cards" or "prompt cards" or "cramming notes"
you can make mnemonics out of lists, so you just need to remember the mnemonic rather than the whole list
(e.g. ROYGBV = Richard of York gained battle vainly = red, orange ... violet = rainbow)
etc.
also, i found it helped to have the same conditions for learning the same subject (e.g. same background music), so that i associate the music with the subject
drink water, but avoid alcohol (& maybe coffee too) - it can change your mental state and you want to be in the same mental state (and sober, uncaffeinated) when you memorise and when you do exams

Consider your mind like a filing cabinet. You put tons of information into it but you don't have a decent filing system. These are methods to remember facts:
1. Ridiculous Association
Use:
(a) 1 Run, 2 Zoo, 3 Tree, 4 Door, 5 Hive, 6 Sticks, 7 Heaven, 8 Gate, 9 Wine, 10 Den.
(b) Pick what you want to memorize and visualize it starting with 1(one) run - ie...you see a six foot cell running down the road. 2 (two) zoo - you see your neighbour in a cage at the local zoo...
(c) When you get to 11...start stacking on top, ie. (11) You wanted to to remember your boots but they're on top of a six foot cell.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another method is using the rooms in your house. Go from left to right in each room and visualize what you want to remember in larger than life forms sitting on your sofa, lamp, valance, picture frame. closet shelf, etc.
2. Mathematics....this is a whole different story.
- Use flash cards and know your times table cold.
- Find out from your teacher/school the natural progression of learning mathematics and identify what building blocks you're missing.
- Use a marker and colored bristol board and in bold print make posters for your room. Place them where you have no choice but see them. Cover the walls; cover the ceiling. You must see them and look at them every day. YOU WILL KNOW your formula's doing this!
- Study with someone who can help you and not hinder you.
- Set Genuine goals and read them every morning and every night.
- Do your homework and don't miss a class or miss a test

Here's a suggestion. Try to make "pictures", or even better, short "films" in your mind about each topic. The weirder the pics the better you will remember them. Add colors and vivid details. Imagine (for instance) a clown being the manager of a company where pink dinosaurs are the workers, and let them cover the topic you have to remember by doing everything exactly wrong etc.
good luck with your test!
Greetings from Holland

I suggest that you can study a few minutes or hours before your sleep as this would help you to memorize more facts and informations. I read this in a book and I tried it if it works, and I really remembered quite alot! I do not know if it works for you, but you can try it out.

Mnemonics will help. Look it up on the Internet. Oh, by the way, put the information you need to know on index cards. Carry and study these index cards where ever you go.

buy those sticky papers used for notes (preferably larger ones) and write important definitions down and than stick the papers all arround your house. Dont worry, you can stick them on walls too. Or record the theory on the tape/into your mp3 or sth and than play it before you fall asleep.
Good luck!

Okay I would have started earlier but…..I would go through my notes and on index cards write down the key areas….then make bullets points write down key words that will trigger your memory to remember points about them. Either that or try mind mapping
