I know there will be those who will answer with "there's no god" or some such variation, so it doesn't matter, but if you can control that urge, this is for Christians, and perhaps our Jewish friends.
The Israelites were the first people of God, but he warned that they would fall away from his teachings, which they did, beginning with a big golden calf.
Christians became the second people of God, but he warned that they would fall away from his teachings, which they did, beginning in the time of the Apostle Paul, who felt he had worked for nothing.
Three represents perfection. In these last days, could there possibly be the emergence of a third and final group, who best represents all the teachings of God and Christ? A group, who as a whole, live by the all teachings of God and Christ. A group who will survive to see the end of times.
Like I said, nothing scriptural based, just an observation for the sake of discussion.

Well, if anyone is going to be as you described, and I am going on a limb here because I believe that it is all rubbish, I think the Amish people are on to something with their whole way of following the religion of Christianity.

Well there is a large time gap between each of these three theoretical peoples of God, but that doesnt necessarily negate its possibility of being correct. Im not sure that this is one of those things that you can really get any biblical (or otherwise) proof for. And Im sure there are alot of Christians and Jews who could give us some biblical passages to help enlighten the conversation.
My thought always was, however, that the Jews have always been largely regarded as God's Chosen People until the end. I think even most Christians believe that the Jews are still God's Chosen People to this day and we can see this when Christians believe that the creation of a Israel (the chosen people will be reunited in the promised land before the end of the world) shows that Armagedddon is on its way.
Its a really thoughtful question though and sparks really cool discussion. I wish there were more people and questions on here like this. You are a good man Papa Bear.

Interesting. Why do you call these the last days? I suppose to have a group like that which you spoke of, you'd need to sort of meld Judaism and Christianity into one. How many christians are willing to do that? How many Jews are willing to accept christ is what you christians say he is? You did say "By all the teachings of God and Christ". You would need to include the Jews in that case, as the whole of the OT pertains to them. Revelations says that only 144,000 pure men will live to see the end time - I don't think it boils down to a particular denomination. In this morally complex world, I don't think it's even possible to find 144 pure men of God, let alone 144,000. I do not say this as an atheist, but as an adult who can see the world around me. There is nothing to suggest, to me at least, that these are the last days, or that anyone will live to see the end times.

According to Christianity, Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. So, in my opinion, if a third group arises, they will be a group that truly follows Jesus Christ, a group that is not afraid to preach against sin, a group that is not afraid to teach us to live a life of holiness. Right now, I see the corporate church teaching people how to make money, or why they should give money. If there is a 3rd group, it's focus will be strictly on Jesus Christ. Peace.

I can't speak for any other religion but there is nothing in Christianity that would raise the idea that Christianity is going to be supplanted by some other group that would be established by God. In fact, I think the Bible makes it plain that Christ is going to return at the end of the church (Christian) age.
The end of the age will be characterized by a falling away from sound doctrine by the church. "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron." I Timothy 4:1&2, also," But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away." II Timothy 3:1-5
As you can see not much mention is made of another, Godly, group of worshipers arising in the last days.

You've posed an interesting question. I believe that there are nine major recognized religions that can be traced back to Abraham. The lineage of Moses and Christ can be traced back to Abraham in the Bible, Three of the other Prophet founders (and these are the common three that most have heard of) are Buddha, Krishna and Muhammed. If you know where to look you may find that their lineage can also be traced back to Abraham.
And yes, there is a third group that you refer to who follow the teachings of a Prophet of God who fulfills the prophesies of all religions. This you will have to find on your own if you are serious about your question.
I can't help but wonder if you are already aware of this and seeking others who agree with you.

Papa Bear,,
Hi,
ya, look at the sweet church, she is no way ready to be snatched away, but I know with the move of God that is happening in Florida, and in California, the people in between, has not experienced the move of God that is about to explode.
Apostle Paul, was wonderful, he gave us some powerful words to live by. Just how he lived.
But then we have people who dis agree with each other, and make up by-laws to live by in the Church, other then the true word of God, and then you get the counter fit spirit, that angle of darkness sweeps in and then pulls the Church to the dark side,
Ya, But keep your eyes open, something is about to happen,
I belong to a Church that has Icelanders, and Romanian's, and Germans, and Armenians, and Black, and White, and Mexican.
I can tell you, Countries are opening up for missionaries, that have been closed. Something is happening.
I'm excited,

No. Not a third group. The third group already exists and isn't defined nescarily by a religion. We call ourselves Christians because we try to follow in the likeness of Christ. The name has become over used. No disciple ever called himself a Christian.

May I suggest that three does not represent perfection.... it represents unity......
The number 10 represents perfection......
and the number 12 represents a perfect government......
There will be a third group, if you will, that will emerge.... I believe they will come from the Israelite race......
Remember there is a Scripture which talks about the "Remnant".... These are them which remain from the original people whom God had chosen.....

I understand the rise and fall of various groups of people on the Path of God is the process of Progressive Revelation.
Because man cannot understand at one time the whole Salvation Plan of the One True God throughout eternity, so He successively sends His Divine Messengers to reveal continuous parts of that eternal Plan in Their Holy Books.
The Messenger of God for this age of human maturity is Baha'u'llah, and another Messenger will succeed Him afterwards, and so forth...
