The bare tree limbs are less likely to tangle their feathers and they can see more clearly what is OUT THERE!

Vultures survive on meat from dead animals...........and they find their food mostly dependent on their sight..............either flying high above to have a vantage view ...........or from the advantage of height on a barren tree....i.e. their sight not impeded by the presence of many leaves & leafy branches to block their view.

Presumably vultures do not depend too much on their sense of smell for their meals..........this being the fact that dead animals so not emit smell until they start to rot..................... by which time the vultures' meal is already taken or eaten by toher animals on the ground.

High up in the Himalayas vultures dont have barren trees to stand watch on..........they stood on rocks...........usually high up in the mountain tops..........to keep a good watch on their potential meals!

............n swoop down once their meals are ready i.e. when the animals breathe its last!

Believe it or not ! Do you know that in Tibet n parts of India (as it was in ancient Persia) people place their dead friends & relatives on a high plateau or specially built platform so that their bodies could be eaten by vultures.

These tribes or religious sects believe the vultures would bring their friends & relatives to a high peaceful resting place........ like our 'heaven'...........so their souls will be happy forever!

Vulture crap makes the trees barren

since all vultures are of huge size they cant get to enter the trees with alot leaves or brances.so they prefer to have a break on the tree with no leaves.
